Modernise your website with Revivra: a step-by-step guide

With Revivra, your existing website becomes a modern presence in a few steps: enter the address, answer a few design questions, check the preview, adjust it in the editor and publish. This guide shows each step in detail.

First: how old is your website really?

Step 1: Enter your website address

On revivra.app you enter the address of your current website and click “Analyze”. It does not matter which system the website was built with or how many years ago.

Step 2: Revivra analyses your website

Revivra fetches your website and captures content, page structure, images, logo, colours and contact details. This analysis is the basis for everything that follows. Your new website is built from your own content rather than placeholder text.

Step 3: Design questionnaire

In the questionnaire you decide what your new website should look like:

• Design style and page layout: you browse previews and choose the style and the basic framework of your pages, for example where the navigation sits.
• Creative direction: “Faithful” stays close to your current look, “Balanced” modernises noticeably, “Bold” rethinks your brand.
• Colour palette: Revivra takes over the colours of your existing website. You can adjust any colour, and the previews update live.
• Photos: keep the original photos, improve them with AI (sharper and better exposed, same subject), replace them with new AI images, or work without photos altogether. You can upload your own logo and photos.
• Languages: if you wish, your website is also created in German, French, Italian or English, with a language switcher.
• Notes: anything else Revivra should know, you write in your own words.

Step 4: View the preview

After a few minutes you see the preview of your new home page. The analysis and preview are free and need no credit card.

Step 5: Choose a plan and create the full website

If you like the direction, you choose a plan. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Revivra then creates all the selected pages. Afterwards the website goes through an automatic quality check: structure, standards, rendering, factual accuracy, SEO, accessibility and page weight are measured. Revivra fixes the problems it finds as far as possible automatically, and an overview shows you what was checked and improved.

Step 6: Adjust it in the editor

In the visual editor you change text directly on the page, swap images and add videos. For larger changes, you describe what you want in your own words as a revision, for example “make the hero section taller” or “add opening hours to the contact page”. If you first click a section in the preview, Revivra changes only that part and leaves the rest untouched.

Step 7: Publish

Your plan includes hosting. Your website runs with SSL under a subdomain or your own domain. You connect an existing domain in the dashboard, or register a new one right there, for example with the ending .ch, .li or .de. A contact form whose enquiries reach you by email is already built in.
